With so many people in Greater Montreal facing precarious circumstances, Centraide’s 2025 campaign co-chairs, Annick Guérard, President and Chief Executive Officer at Transat, and Charles Emond, President and Chief Executive Officer at La Caisse, are making a heartfelt plea for generosity. They want to convey the message that together, through concrete action, we can change lives and strengthen the social fabric of our community.
Annick Guérard is deeply affected by the acute inequalities that are so visible around us. We don’t have to look far to see people in vulnerable situations. “Centraide is like oxygen,” she says. By offering a helping hand, Centraide gives people a chance to catch their breath. For her, giving means choosing empathy, caring and action over indifference every day.

“Centraide is a pillar the community can rely on,” says Charles Emond. He praises the organization’s targeted approach and tangible impact, which help transform lives every day. At a time of growing anxiety and hardship, he stresses the importance of staying engaged: “It’s easy to ignore the needs, but getting involved is the only way to make a difference.” Giving to Centraide is about more than just responding to an immediate need—it “creates possibilities.”

The two co-chairs urge the public to join this collective effort. Thanks to the generosity of donors, Centraide of Greater Montreal supports more than 375 community agencies and projects that help nearly 800,000 people every year.
A donation to Centraide helps restore hope and dignity to an entire community.
