4 emergency funds
to support community agencies

In March 2020, the pandemic hit Greater Montreal. While the lockdowns have disrupted everyone’s lives, they have badly affected people who are marginalized or living in vulnerable conditions, such as isolated seniors, people with disabilities, the homeless, or families experiencing lost income.

Thanks to four emergency funds and strong partnerships already in place, Centraide along with neighbourhood roundtables and community agencies were able to respond to emerging issues and act quickly to provide essential services while adapting their operations to the new health restrictions.

To date, an additional $25.6 million has been allocated to some 635 agencies.
