Tasha Lackman is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Centraide of Greater Montreal, a role she began in February 2026. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the philanthropic, community, business, and academic sectors to strengthen our collective capacity to fight poverty and social exclusion.
Before joining Centraide, Tasha Lackman led The Depot Community Food Centre, guiding the agency hrough a major period of growth. Under her leadership, the agency strengthened its internal structures, diversified its funding sources, and doubled its revenue, allowing it to significantly expand its impact in the community.
She also served as Vice-President, Philanthropy and Community at the Foundation of Greater Montréal, where she helped develop a strategic plan rooted in principles of justice, diversity, and inclusion. During her tenure, she also fostered new, transformative philanthropic collaborations for the region.
A lawyer by training, Tasha Lackman spent more than 10 years at Fasken, specializing in real estate financing and institutional partnerships. This experience deepened her expertise in governance, organizational development, and strategic management.
Deeply engaged in the community, she has served on numerous boards and governance committees, including those of the Lufa Farms Foundation, Old Brewery Mission, the YMCAs of Québec, Oxfam-Québec, and the Foundation of Greater Montréal.
Recognized for her unifying leadership, Tasha Lackman is guided by a philosophy rooted in listening, clarity, and consistency. She advocates for trust-based philanthropy focused on systems change and impactful investment in the community, values that are fully aligned with Centraide of Greater Montreal’s mission.
