Partners

Direct support for key needs at key times
Centraide created its direct-support funding envelope to rapidly respond to the specific needs of agencies and communities at critical moments in their development.
These small, one-time yet high-impact grants provide flexible and responsive assistance for actions such as supporting strategic planning, providing coaching to a management team, or testing a form of tailored support.
This resource illustrates Centraide’s support process, which centres the needs expressed by agencies and encourages them to independently find the right solutions for their specific situation.
Goals of direct support:
- Provide one-time financial assistance during periods of organizational transformation or transition
- Promote access to tailored training and coaching resources
- Experiment with new forms of support that are adapted to specific needs or realities
- Support agencies’ independence and ability to take action to develop
External resource bank
If the resources mentioned above do not meet the needs of community agencies, Centraide can let them tap into a vast network of external resources. Centraide has built this resource bank over many years to provide diverse solutions to help agencies address different situations.
