United Way Centraide Radar
Special COVID-19 release
Launched in the midst of a health crisis, the COVID-19 release of our innovative mapping tool provides a sociodemographic profile of our neighbourhoods, cities and towns. It also emphasizes food security agencies, which have seen a sharp rise in demand since the crisis started.
By providing a profile of needs, community agencies, and money provided to these agencies by private and public donors, the Centraide United Way Radar will let us effectively allocate resources where needs are greatest.
Agencies related to other social issues, such as housing, mental health, and academic success, will gradually be added to future versions of the Radar.
This first release of the Radar was made possible thanks to financial support from the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation. It was developed with the generous collaboration of Esri Canada, a company that provides geographic information system solutions.
Centraide of Greater Montreal is also proud to have had the support of the following organizations in this project so far:
- Borough of Montréal-Nord
- Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro
- Borough of Saint-Laurent
- Borough of Saint-Léonard
- Borough of Ville-Marie
- Breakfast Club of Canada
