Every day, dedicated individuals take action to combat poverty and social exclusion by giving the equivalent of $1 per day to Centraide of Greater Montreal. These everyday heroes know their donations change lives—today and for years to come.
Who are the everyday heroes?
Everyday heroes give $1 a day ($365 a year) to support a vast network of community agencies that help more than 800,000 people annually in the Greater Montreal area.
Their superpower is the kindness that motivates them to give $365 each year—in a lump sum or in pre-authorized monthly withdrawals. The money goes towards providing support, services and resources where the need is most urgent.
Giving $1 a day is a simple, tangible way for me to contribute to something bigger. I like knowing that my donation supports agencies that change lives every day. It’s rewarding and motivational to feel that I’m part of a movement for community.”
I grew up in a land where helping each other was part of everyday life. So when I arrived in Montreal and was welcomed by the community here, I knew I had to give something back. Becoming an everyday hero is a way for me to uphold the values that have always guided me and to support people in need here.”
