A vast network of caring

Centraide of Greater Montreal is an independent philanthropic organization founded in 1975 and managed by a voluntary board of directors which is representative of the community.

Centraide raises donations from the public to support a vast network of community agencies that help individuals and families in a situation of poverty in Laval, on Montreal Island and on the South Shore.

More than 73,000 people volunteer for Centraide: 23,000 on its campaign and 50,000 at the agencies it supports.

More than 160,000 people contribute financially to Centraide’s campaign, which is supported by some 2,100 businesses and private, public and parapublic organizations as well as large trade unions.

Centraide supports 360 agencies that help more than 500,000 vulnerable people.
