Every year, the Solidaires evening marks both the end of the Centraide campaign and the excellence of our partner companies, agencies and individuals who made outstanding contributions in the past year through their philanthropic and community action.
Solidaires Awards
Agency Awards: Six awards are presented annually to recipients who have distinguished themselves in the following categories.
This recognition is awarded to an organization or collective initiative supported by Centraide of Greater Montreal. It recognizes concrete actions implemented to address current or emerging issues related to poverty and social exclusion, particularly concerning historically marginalized groups.
This recognition is awarded to an organization, collective initiative, or consultation body supported by Centraide of Greater Montreal. It honors efforts to develop intervention strategies and participatory approaches that strengthen the empowerment of individuals and communities facing various challenges.
This recognition is awarded to an organization, a consultation body, or a group of agencies supported by Centraide of Greater Montreal. It rewards engagement in concerted efforts, particularly through collaboration with local social actors and participation in local social development initiatives, with a focus on including the voices of vulnerable populations.
This recognition is awarded to an organization, collective initiative, or consultation body supported by Centraide of Greater Montreal. It highlights efforts to demonstrate the impact and relevance of undertaken actions while fostering a culture of continuous evaluation and learning.
This recognition is awarded to an organization, collective initiative, or consultation body supported by Centraide of Greater Montreal. It recognizes inclusive and participatory management that integrates equity, diversity, and inclusion at all organizational levels.
This recognition is awarded to an individual or group of individuals distinguished by their volunteerism and leadership within an organization or consultation body supported by Centraide of Greater Montreal. It recognizes their commitment to advancing an issue or mobilizing citizens to achieve a concrete and sustainable action.
Workplace Campaign Award: the following awards are presented to companies, organizations and/or unions that ran an outstanding annual campaign.
This recognition is awarded to a company that has led an outstanding campaign at all levels, with strong involvement from senior management. This distinction recognizes the partnership and exemplary commitment of the organization to Centraide. In this category, senior management’s involvement is a key factor in the campaign’s success.
This recognition is awarded to a company that has led a campaign among employees and/or exceptional Leaders. It recognizes the engagement of the organizing committee that enabled the successful execution of a planned and structured annual campaign, while optimizing employee mobilization for Centraide. The campaign must be driven by employees, who, through their involvement, made it a success.
This recognition is awarded to a unionized workplace and affiliated unions that carry out a workplace campaign in a collaborative manner. It recognizes an exemplary partnership and active collaboration between management, unions and non-unionized employees. The Solidaires can also be awarded to a union that carries out specific activities outside the workplace that allow Centraide to shine.
This recognition is awarded to a company conducting a Centraide of Greater Montreal campaign for less than four years whose involvement is remarkable. The award recognizes the efforts made by a company to implement a Centraide campaign.
Michèle Thibodeau-DeGuire Award
Each year, an award is also presented to a volunteer in recognition of their outstanding contribution to Centraide of Greater Montreal. During the Solidaires Awards ceremony, we take the opportunity to thank this volunteer and present them with an award.
