The Service d’aide communautaire (SAC) Anjou<\/em> welcomes hundreds of families living with food insecurity every week. This community agency’s food bank is one of the initiatives implemented to improve the quality of life of economically and socially vulnerable people living in the area.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A business volunteer of Centraide of Greater Montreal wanted to have a closer look at how the food bank was organized and, above all, learn about its real impact. Follow Gen\u00e8ve Boulianne-Grenier<\/strong>, a member of the Emerging Philanthropists committee<\/a>, as she visits the SAC Anjou<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Since the filming of this video, in the fall of 2022, SAC Anjou has ceased to receive emergency food aid funds and has returned to its former pre-pandemic facilities. Today, the organization can no longer store food as shown in the video and relies on food donations provided from their emergency food assistance program. Meanwhile, Francine Baril, General Manager at SAC Anjou, also confirms that food supply demands are constantly growing.   <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
