In addition to supporting community agencies, Centraide takes a multipronged approach to helping tackle housing challenges in Greater Montreal.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By working directly with the various stakeholders, building knowledge, supporting initiatives aimed at transforming the landscape and influencing public policy, Centraide is doing its part to promote sustainable housing solutions.

Developed by the community, for the community<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Launched in 2023, the Together for Housing<\/strong> initiative brought together stakeholders from multiple sectors to help gain a better understanding of housing-related challenges and put forward actionable ideas on how to address them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this collective effort was to harness complementary expertise and perspectives, bring shared insights to the fore and lay the groundwork for coordinated action. It gave rise to a housing think tank session in May\u202f2023 and the publication of an open letter signed by over 80\u202forganizations and individuals from the municipal, community, philanthropy, institutional and economic spheres.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This represented a significant step forward in structuring and strengthening Centraide\u2019s housing response.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concrete action on housing<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Building on these initial efforts, Centraide introduced and strengthened several other initiatives: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
