A Legacy Rooted in Generosity<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For Sandy Rose, giving back has always been a natural part of life \u2014 a value deeply instilled by her parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I grew up in a family where supporting the community was non-negotiable,” she recalls. “My parents had a dedicated line in their budget for donations, and no matter how tight things got, that line never moved. They taught us that we have a collective responsibility to each other \u2014 and that sometimes, it means making sacrifices.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That spirit of generosity stayed with Sandy into adulthood. Even during a challenging time when launching her own business and seeing her income drop, she refused to pause her Centraide donation. “I knew I was struggling, but I also knew I had a safety net. Not everyone does. It wasn\u2019t even a question for me \u2014 giving had to continue.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lasting connection built on trust<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sandy\u2019s bond with Centraide began in her first job after university, through a workplace campaign with United Way in Ontario. Later, after moving to Montreal, she volunteered in Centraide\u2019s workplace campaigns and participated as a representative on Loan Program* \u2014 an experience that deepened her understanding of Centraide\u2019s model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A meaningful experience<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

“Seeing firsthand how Centraide supports a network of agencies made me realize just how crucial they are to the heartbeat of our city. It’s an organization that has figured out the role it can play \u2014 and plays it beautifully.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her trust in Centraide is anchored in what she has witnessed on the ground. “I\u2019ve seen it work \u2014 not just on paper, but in real life. Nothing gets lost along the way. The impact is real.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why Sandy decided to include Centraide in her will \u2014 a gesture that felt like a natural extension of her lifelong values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For me, including Centraide in my will was never a question. It is just another way to continue what I\u2019ve always believed in: giving forward. It feels like a way to leave an afterlife hug to the people I love \u2014 a gesture that makes sense, that\u2019s true to who I am.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandy\u2019s message is clear: you don\u2019t have to be a millionaire to make a meaningful impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It doesn\u2019t have to be a huge amount to be life-changing. Every gesture counts.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
