Centraide supports Greater Montreal communities by harnessing the power of collaboration and citizen involvement. Its role is to create conditions that allow people to mobilize, identify their needs, define their priorities, and implement collective solutions to fight poverty and social exclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To pursue this mission, Centraide supports local collective bodies, such as the Initiative montr\u00e9alaise de soutien au d\u00e9veloppement social local (IMSDL)<\/strong>, which works with Montreal\u2019s neighbourhood roundtables. While roundtables in Laval and on the South Shore are not part of the Montreal agreement, Centraide extends its support to these collective bodies as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Centraide also supports the development and implementation of neighbourhood plans through the Collective Impact Project (CIP)<\/strong>. This strategic and financial support combined with knowledge sharing and networking for local stakeholders allows communities to coordinate their actions, define their priorities, and increase their impact on the ground. <\/p>\n\n\n
