and regional community <strong>agencies<\/strong> that work in the social sector and that include rights advocacy and protection organizations as well as summer camps.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Neighbourhood roundtables<\/strong> and other multisectoral and multi-network bodies (i.e. community, municipal, education, cultural, business, citizen or other bodies) that bring people together to improve living conditions in their territory.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Local or regional <strong>collective initiatives<\/strong> carried out by multiple agencies that come together to solve a problem or meet a shared goal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-white-background-color has-background is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:5%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column has-white-background-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:98%\">\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-little-title\"><strong>The agencies supported by Centraide must also meet the following criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be registered as a not-for-profit organization (NPO).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be incorporated and recognized as a charity (have a registration number issued by the Canada Revenue Agency).<sup>1<\/sup>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offer services and activities within the territory served by Centraide of Greater Montreal (national, regional and provincial agencies must have an independent and representative division within Centraide\u2019s territory, i.e., Greater Montreal).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be controlled by a board of directors composed of volunteers who are representative of the community it serves.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not have any affiliation or declared ties with any religious or political group of any kind.<sup>2<\/sup>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote citizen participation and volunteer involvement within the agency.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carry out activities that meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centraide-mtl.org\/en\/agency-evaluation-principles\/\">agency evaluation criteria<\/a> and that are in line with our<a href=\"https:\/\/www.centraide-mtl.org\/en\/investment-srategy\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.centraide-mtl.org\/en\/investment-srategy\/\"> strategic orientations<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-black-background-color has-background is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:100\"><strong>Agencies in the following areas are not eligible for Centraide\u2019s financial support:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-white-color has-text-color\">\n<li>Agencies working in physical health (including medical research), Environment, International cooperation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cultural activities (concerts, exhibitions, choirs, etc.)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sports or strictly recreational activities (field hockey teams, ski clubs, sports shows, etc.)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Events, symposia and conferences&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><sub><strong>Notes<\/strong> <\/sub><br><sub>1. Under certain conditions, Centraide may grant financial support to agencies that are not recognized as charitable organizations if they provide social services to populations experiencing poverty and social exclusion.. <\/sub><br><sub>2. Support for specific purposes may be given to an agency whose mission has a religious component.<\/sub><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:75px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
