Michèle Thibodeau-DeGuire: One last year at the helm of Centraide of Greater Montreal
After over 21 years at the helm of Centraide of Greater Montreal, Michèle Thibodeau-DeGuire today informed the Board members and it’s President, Mr. Louis Roquet, that she will step down as President and Executive Director and leave office on Dec. 31, 2012.
A search committee was appointed to find a successor.
The Board members expressed their appreciation to Ms. DeGuire, as well as their gratitude for her longstanding years of dedicated service, noting her admirable ability to ‘build bridges’ and get the Greater Montreal community to come together and help the poorest members find the support to make it through and get back on track.
As often highlighted by Ms. DeGuire: "We can achieve this goal and do so much if we are patient. Such an ambitious objective will take more than one generation."
