Centraide of Greater Montreal is looking for a Publicity Advisor. Reporting to the Director, Events and Publicity, the selected candidate will identify communications and marketing needs to produce and promote publicity campaigns and certain events. For various departments, you will develop and propose the appropriate strategies and produce and evaluate the corresponding tools. You will work closely with the members of your team, different internal departments and external suppliers and coordinate work.
Responsibilities
Marketing coordination
- Manage and carry out different types of publicity projects and events.
- Help draft marketing plans, event project plans, and agency briefs.
- Create, develop, plan and coordinate marketing initiatives to promote Centraide to donors, companies and agencies in partnership with various Centraide departments and with the support of the Marketing and Communications Department.
- Help with the development and production stages of projects and publicity campaigns.
- Help develop new publicity partnerships.
- Coordinate deliverables with external suppliers and agencies.
- Help manage sponsorship and partnership plans and develop a media placement calendar in collaboration with advertising partners.
- Help organize flagship events.
- Develop the editorial calendars produced with the Marketing and Communications Department.
- Build trust with clients, volunteers, and internal and external partners.
Administration
- Ensure that budgets and deadlines are met.
- Develop and implement evaluation and analysis tools.
- Follow up on reports to be produced and targets to be met.
Skillsets & Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in marketing or communications.
- Perfect fluency in French.
- Very good knowledge of English (oral and written).
- Excellent writing skills.
- Interest in new marketing and event trends.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite and major social media platforms.
- Be independent, detail-oriented and able to manage priorities.
- Show strategic thinking, enthusiasm, teamwork, a sense of initiative and good judgment.
- Experience in philanthropy (an asset).
- Experience at an agency (an asset).
