Claude Léger has served as a volunteer on Centraide's Board of Directors since 2004 and on its Executive Committee since 2006. Also elected, on the recommendation of the Nominating Committee, were two new directors: Serge Brasset, Director General of Collège Édouard-Montpetit, and Norman M. Steinberg, Co-Chair of Ogilvy Renault LLP.

The Board of Directors also appointed Louis L. Centraide of Greater Montreal is an independent organization managed by a board of directors which is representative of the community. It serves the Island of Montreal, Laval and communities on the South Shore, supporting 360 community-based agencies and projects which offer help and comfort to more than half a million people in need. Centraide relies on 175,000 donors and a network of 73,000 volunteers. There are 18 autonomous Centraides in Quebec.
