Our allocations volunteers
In order to use the money it receives from its donors as judiciously
as possible, Centraide constantly evaluates and monitors the agencies
it supports.
About 100 volunteers participate in the process of allocating grants.
Divided into committees, and supported by a team of Centraide consultants,
they study agencies' grant applications, and evaluate the relevance
and effectiveness of their work in terms of Centraide’s strategies
and precise allocations
criteria.
The allocations
and agency relations committee (AARC), which is composed of
the chairs of these volunteer committees, makes recommendations
to the board of directors regarding our annual grants to agencies
and projects.
